Dear Parent / Guardian:

On Thursday, April 10^th, the Ridgway Area School District school counselors will be offering a free parent workshop, entitled “Parent Talk.” Paulette Schreiber, a Nurse Practitioner, and Linda White, Program Supervisor for “Staying Connected With Your Teen,” will present information on how to communicate with your child.

Has your child ever asked you a question that you didn’t quite know how to answer? Then this class is for you. The focus of the workshop will be on those “sticky” questions (puberty, growing up, and all that comes with it) that children and teenagers ask that might not always have the easiest answers. Let us help you find the right answers, so you don’t feel so overwhelmed and caught off-guard. This program brings parents together to share ideas, listen, and ask questions about how to talk to their children.

Please join us on Thursday, April 10^th at 6:30 P.M. in the elementary cafeteria for a night of knowledge, helpful information, and fun. Refreshments will be provided. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school counselor.
