Important information for Ridgway High School students and their parents

"If you don't know where you're going you'll probably end up somewhere else"

All to often, high school graduates head off with very little idea where they are going. They later stop and look at where they are, and wonder how they got there, and wish they were somewhere else.

Graduation from high school is the culmination of a twelve year commitment of an individual 18 or 19 years of age. This is an extremely large chunk of their life to this point. For many students,, trying to figure out what to do after high school is confusing, difficult, and sometimes overwhelming. Although given much information while at Ridgway through career class, job shadowing, participation in the county wide career fair, mock interview, guest speakers, Discover Program, etc., high school students need the help and guidance of their parents. They need you to help them evaluate their career and educational options, and they need your support and encouragement as they plan and prepare for their future.

I hope you find the information contained in this packet useful and informative.
