The Ridgway Middle School is offering a program to our students called Project

Alert Kid Club or PAK Club. This is an age-appropriate substance abuse prevention

curriculum proven to be effective in reducing drug, alcohol, and tobacco

experimentation and usage in adolescents. Mr. John Hrusth, Prevention Specialist

will be conducting the program.

WHAT IS PROJECT ALERT?

The program consists of 11 sessions covering topics such as:

Consequences of smoking cigarettes, marijuana use, alcohol use,

and inhalant abuse

Social Pressures

Learning resistance skills

Benefits of NOT using drugs

 

WHERE AND WHEN WILL THE PAK CLUB MEET?

 

The Ridgway Middle School in Room 117 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM

Mondays, October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

November 5, 12, 19

December 3, 17

January 7

Your permission is required in order for your child to participate in the PAK (Project Alert Kids) Club.  By signing the permission you and your child agree to participate in the entire 11-week program.  Transportation is the responsibility of the parent.  Pick up time is 4:00 on Mondays at the front of the middle school.
