RIDGWAY MIDDLE SCHOOL

Did You Know That Your Counselor...

* listens to you?

* can help you when your grades are falling?

* talks to you when you're having problems with friends?

* can help when you feel you're in a situation that's impossible to change?

* listens when you're faced with difficult situations at home and with your family?

* can help when you're not satisfied with yourself?

* talks with you when you're having trouble dealing with your feelings?

Stop by to see Mrs. Yeager in the middle school office anytime!

Sometimes it’s not easy to talk to an adult when you have a problem. That’s why we’ve designed this help page.  The purpose of this page is for students who have a concern which they would like to share with me, but don’t feel comfortable enough yet talking face to face.  I will try to respond to all emails within one week.  If you would like me to get back to you sooner, please stop by my office.

As always, all concerns will be kept confidential unless one of the following conditions apply:

1.      You are threatening to hurt yourself or have done something to hurt yourself.

2.      You tell me someone you know is threatening to hurt themselves or has done something to hurt themselves.

3.      You are in some sort of danger.

4.      You give me permission to tell someone so together we make a plan to get you some help.

If you have something that's bothering you, the most important thing you can do for yourself is to reach out to someone you trust so you can start to feel better.

Don't forget about our
PEER HELPERS!

The peer helpers are high school students who have special training to help you with your problems.

* They can help you if you're not doing well with your school work

* They can help you if you're not getting along well with others.

* They can help you for whatever reason!!

If you'd like to meet with a peer helper, fill out a referral form and place it in the box in the library.

And as always, if you think nobody cares,    Mrs. Yeager does!

  Take Care,

Mrs. Yeager
