Under IDEA ’97, infants, toddlers, and young children may be eligible for services designed to meet their specific developmental needs.

Head Start

Touching Children, Reaching Families

Head Start is a comprehensive child development program.  It is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services – Administration for Children, Youth, and Families.  To be eligible to participate in the Head Start program, 90% (9 out of 10) of the families in the program must have gross incomes that are not above income levels set by the Department of Health and Human Services, through the Office of Management and Budget.
