Desired Outcomes?

In What Areas?

It is never too early to think about what a child's life will look like as he or she exits school.

Transition Planning expects us to think about outcomes in the following three areas:

Employment 

Options to consider should include independent employment, Volunteer work, supported employment, sheltered employment.

Post-Secondary Education or Training

Options to consider should include vocational/technical school, 2 or 4 year college or university, Adult Basic Education, Adult Habilitation Training, Adult Development Training, and the military.

Community Living

Concerns include residential planning, leisure and recreation, social networks.
